Old television tubes
ropes, animation
2011

In this
installation, the artist successfully reconciles two irreconcilable
technologies: digital and analog. A pixel moves down the screen of an
old TV image tube. It seems to obey gravity, the same that governs the
tube that does not fall to the floor only because it is tied to the
ceiling. In this case, both the obsolete cumbersome kinescope and the
ultramodern smallest picture element act in accordance with the same
law as Newton's apple.
